What is a Chavurah?
The term in Hebrew means "group" and derives from a word meaning friend. A Chavurah is a group (couples, singles, with children, without children) who usually meet monthly to socialize, learn and celebrate Jewish life.
What does a Chavurah do?
A Chavurah may build a sukkah, bake a challah, study music or literature, attend movies, have a picnic, or share a potluck. Each Chavurah can plan their own activities based on their shared interests.
