Mitzvah Network

CLICK HERE FOR MITZVAH OF THE MONTH

Temple Or Rishon is proud to have individuals who are dedicated to the caring of our community. Our Mitzvah Network encompasses the many different areas of care and need that people face during their lifetime.

The Temple Or Rishon Mitzvah Network is where we come to commit ourselves to mitzvah, and to share with others the love and joy that comes from bringing caring and compassion into our lives.

Caring for the world around us, caring for those who are closest to us, and caring more deeply for ourselves - this is what we do at Temple Or Rishon, this is who we are, this is why we exist!

Becoming more involved in Temple Or Rishon's Mitzvah Network, is a great way to engage in our community. For more information, please email us at volunteer@orrishon.org, or call the temple office!

Mitzvah of the Month Opportunities

December 2024 - 2 opportunites
Donations will  be collected all month long.

DIAPER DRIVE - benefiting Lighthouse Counseling and Family Resource Center
Bring packages of diapers and wipes and drop them off in the box in the temple foyer
WHY DONATE DISPOSABLE DIAPERS?
* Half of all families struggle to afford diapers for their children.
* Families are often forced to make a choice between diapers and
other basic needs such as food, utilities, or even rent.
*Government assistance programs such as CalFresh and WIC do not cover the cost of diapers.

GIFT CARD DRIVE - benefiting CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)
$25 and $50 Gift Cards to Target and Walmart Only
These gift cards allow foster children to have the experience of going shopping to purchase items that they need and want.
2 ways to participate
1. Purchase the gift cards through our Scrip Program
2. Donate to the Mitzvah Tzedakkah Fund and the monies collected will be used to purchase gift cards. (choose Mitzvah Tzedakkah as the donation type and put "December Mitzvah" in the notes)
